Now the foundation has been laid. It istime to live a low carbon way of life and realize green growth.
Korea will take necessary action with determination and evaluate them periodically.
Now that the emission target has been set, efforts will be made to meet the target through such measures as a trading scheme and carbon tax.
As President Lee has emphasized, the real change will come through changes in people’s behavior, through the adoption of a low carbon life style. To this end, priorities include education, changing consumer behavior, as well as public awareness.
Korea will continue to strengthen partnerships with the international community to address the common challenge of climate change.
