- Japan has been distributing photovoltaic houses for quite a long time, accelerating the widespread existence of green homes
- The UK is planning to launch a tailor-made green home remodeling project with individual household requirements incorporated through LONDON GREEN HOMES.
Korea implementation status
- Standards
- Identify required facilities to be recognized as a green home
- Natural green area ratio, Biotope area ratio, Rainwater circulation, Food waste, Energy information system etc.
- Issue guidelines for installation of windows, gates, ventilation and boiler systems with installation of new and renewable energy facilities conforming to the notices of the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy
- One or more new and renewable energy facilities are required to be installed in Green Home (Complex) Class 2 or higher
Future prospect for Green Home Market
- The ultimate goal of the Green Home Project is to reduce energy consumption and to make the national territory greener and more environmental-friendly
- 320,000 or more green homes are expected to be provided by 2012 following the announcement of standards
- More support for improvement of environment inside and outside of residential properties and subsequent related projects are expected
