The campaign includes reducing greenhouse gas emitted by sports facilities including the Korea National Training Center, also known as the Taeneung Center, through improving their facilities to be more environmentally-friendly.

The Korean Olympic Committee plans to actively participate in the campaign by replacing existing lightings in the Taeneung Center with LED lighting and managing streetlight in a more environmentally-friendly way.

?

The Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute estimated that when the committee’s plan is carried out, about 500CO2 tons of greenhouse gas can be reduced, which is equivalent to planting 29,741 nut pines.
