Leading experts on greenhouse gas gather in Seoul for an international forum
As a part of an event for launching the Greenhouse Gas Inventory & Research Center of Korea, the Presidential Committee on Green Growth and the Greenhouse Gas Inventory & Research Center hold the International Conference on Post-Kyoto Climate Change Mitigation Modeling from June 16 to 17 in Seoul.
At the forum, greenhouse gas experts from home and abroad will share the international trends of GHG reduction model and discuss measures to enhance global cooperation in supporting developing countries.
Under the supervision of the Greenhouse Gas Inventory & Research Center, the forum is attended by prominent experts including professor Warwic Mckibbin of Australian National University and Janusz Cofala of the International Institute for Applied System Analysis.
On the first day, professor Paul Ekins of University of London will give a presentation on post-kyoto and GHG reduction modeling. Also, Gi-jong Wu, the secretary-general of the Secretariat of the Presidential Committee on Green Growth will give a presentation on Korea’s climate change adaptation and the necessity of building global cooperation system.
On the second day, many experts will give a presentation and have in-depth discussion on application of greenhouse gas reduction model and technical issues.
